Want to learn more about making your lifestyle green and sustainable? One opportunity coming up soon is the Frenchtown Green Fair. The event will bring together a variety of speakers and vendors promoting choices that are both healthy and environmentally responsible.
Green/sustainable local vendors will showcase a diverse range of products and services, including:
- Alternative vehicles.
- Green building and landscaping services.
- Organic body-care products.
- Health foods.
- Green apparel.
The event also will feature speakers, demos and activities offering environmental education for all ages. Most notably, Mike McGrath, organic advocate and host of WHYY’s “You Bet Your Garden,” will be discussing the ins and outs of composting.
The Frenchtown event isn’t the first green fair to be held in the Delaware River Valley and, hopefully, it will be far from the last. Fairs like this offer a great opportunity to raise public awareness about environmental issues and to introduce the types of products and services that can help us reduce our carbon footprint and protect our health. Perhaps most importantly, by bringing together a diversity of speakers and vendors, they can help encourage a holistic, 360-degree view of what it really means to live more sustainably.
